Flooding
Traditional agriculture has utilized flooding extensively
for the management of plant pathogens. For example, the paddy rice system,
in addition to its various agronomic benefits, has an important role in reducing
the importance of soilborne diseases. Where feasible, flooding should be
recommended as a possible plant disease management practice.
